• data transfer means (225) for establishing at least one wireless data transfer connection (4a, 4b, 14),
• an acceleration sensor (221), and
• an electronic compass (223),
• wherein when the gun has been set in a shooting position a computer program code stored in the memory (222) of the electronic safety device (4, 22, 32) is together with the processor unit (220) configured to generate a warning signal (512a) detectable with human senses if it has been determined that a target (514c) preventing shooting is present in the risk area (512a) of the gun at the time of shooting by using in the determination position and direction data of the gun and location data regarding targets (12, 17, 514a-514c) in the safety area (510) of the gun that are transferred from mobile phones (2) of moving targets (2A, 2B, 2C) via a cellular telecommunications network (2a, 3a) to a shooter's mobile phone (3)_from where it is transferred to the electronic safety device (4, 22) and stored in the memory of the electronic safety device.
