Abstract
A toothbrush can include a handle and a head. At least one bristle can be attached to the head. The toothbrush can also have an illumination member, an illumination circuit and an activation device. A pliant base on the handle can be used to activate the activation device to initiate the illumination circuit.
Claims20
A toothbrush comprising:
- a handle having a first end and a second end, the handle defining a cavity that has a cavity opening from the second end;
- a head positioned at the first end of the handle;
- a plurality of bristles extending from the head;
- a light positioned in the cavity;
- a pliant material coupled to the handle and forming a water tight seal of the cavity opening;
- an elongate rod positioned in the cavity and being separate from and unconnected to the pliant material and configured such that pressure applied to the pliant material in a direction towards the first end of the handle moves the elongate rod towards the first end of the handle;
- and
- a control circuit positioned in the cavity and configured to activate the light upon the elongate rod moving towards the first end of the handle.

- a handle having a first end and a second end and a side positioned between the first end and the second end, and a side wall surrounding an interior chamber of the handle;
- a head positioned at the first end of the handle;
- a plurality of bristles extending from the head;
- a frame positioned in the interior chamber;
- a circuit board coupled to the frame;
- a light coupled to the circuit board;
- at least one battery coupled to the circuit board;
- a button coupled to the circuit board and positioned between the light and the at least one battery and extending in a direction towards the side of the handle, and configured to be pushed in a direction towards the circuit board;
- a circuit coupled to the circuit board and configured to cause the light to blink upon the button being pushed in the direction towards the circuit board.

- a handle having a first end and a second end and extending along a longitudinal axis passing through the first end and the second end, and having an interior chamber and a side wall surrounding the longitudinal axis and forming a water tight seal of the interior chamber;
- a head positioned at the first end of the handle;
- a plurality of bristles coupled to the head;
- a light positioned in the interior chamber;
- a power source positioned in the interior chamber;
- a button positioned in the interior chamber between the light and the power source and extending in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis, and configured to be pushed in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis;
- and
- a circuit configured to provide power to the light from the power source upon the button being pushed in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis, thereby causing the light to illuminate.
