Abstract
A system and associated method of using may generally have at least a mobile data storage device with a controller directing data to first and second tiers of memory. The first tier of memory can have at least boot data pre-fetched from the second tier of memory with the boot data including at least metadata and personalized user data.

An apparatus comprising a mobile data storage device with a controller directing data to first and second tiers of memory, the first tier of memory comprising boot data pre-fetched from the second tier of memory, the boot data comprising metadata and personalized user data.
A method comprising directing data to first and second tiers of memory in a mobile data storage device with a controller and pre-fetching boot data to the first tier of memory from the second tier of memory, the boot data comprising metadata and personalized user data.
A method comprising:
- directing data to first and second tiers of memory in a mobile data storage device with a controller;
- pre-fetching boot data to the first tier of memory from the second tier of memory, the boot data comprising metadata and personalized user data;
- and
- loading the personalized user data from the first tier of memory in response to connection of the mobile data storage device with a node of a network.
