Abstract
Personalization data such as settings and/or state is migrated across devices including mobile phones. Device personalizations are pushed to a cloud service or other mechanism for backup and subsequent transmission to other devices. The personalization data can later be employed to configure one or more other devices in the same manner as a first device.
Claims20
A system that facilitates transmission of device personalizations, comprising:
- a data store comprising memory;
- a first component that provisions device personalizations from a primary device to a cloud service;
- and
- a second component that transmits the personalizations to an alternate device.
A method facilitating transmission of device personalizations, comprising:
- acquiring setting and state information from a primary device;
- and
- provisioning the information to an alternate device.
A computer-readable storage device having stored thereon computer-executable instructions for performing operations comprising:
- acquiring setting and state information from a primary device;
- and
- provisioning the information to an alternate device.
