Abstract
An RFID tag to be authenticated in an authentication phase includes a tag memory. The tag memory stores an encryption key and an information table. The information table has a specific storing attribute quantified with a predetermined value, and is read after the authentication phase by using the predetermined value. The encryption key is derived from the predetermined value, and decrypted in the authentication phase to authenticate the RFID tag. A system and method for securing an RFID tag is also provided.
Claims20
A method for securing a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag storing an application code information and a communication target indicator to be used to link to a specific external device, the method comprising steps of:
- providing a specific application function using the application code information;
- applying the RFID tag to the specific application function;
- generating a transaction message for the specific application function according to the application code information;
- and
- sending the transaction message to the specific external device according to the communication target indicator.
A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag to be authenticated in an authentication phase, the RFID tag comprising:
- a tag memory storing an encryption key and a first information table, wherein:
- the first information table has a specific storing attribute quantified with a predetermined value, and is read after the authentication phase by using the predetermined value;
- and
- the encryption key is derived from the predetermined value, and decrypted in the authentication phase to authenticate the RFID tag.
A system for securing a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag having a specific identifier, the system comprising:
- an operation device providing a first password mask and a first information table, wherein the first information table includes a first plurality of information elements arranged according to a first order;
- and
- a reader coupled to the operation device, wherein the operation device adjusts the first order according to the specific identifier and the first password mask to generate a second information table.
