Abstract
Appliances for oral use including compositions containing polymetal complexes useful in treating disorders of the oral mucosa, lips, and perioral region are described.

A medical device comprising:
- an appliance including a polymeric substrate dimensioned for positioning within an oral cavity of a subject;
- and
- a treatment layer including at least one polymetal complex disposed on a first side of the polymeric substrate, wherein the polymetal complex is a reaction product of a polyfunctional compound with calcium and magnesium.
A method of treating wrinkles in the perioral region comprising:
- contacting oral mucosa of a subject with an appliance including a polymeric substrate and a treatment layer including a composition including a polymetal complex positioned on a first side of the polymeric substrate.
