Abstract
The invention concerns constructs and libraries comprising antibody surrogate light chain sequences. In particular, the invention concerns constructs comprising VpreB sequences, optionally partnered with another polypeptide, such as, for example, antibody heavy chain variable domain sequences, and libraries containing the same.

A construct comprising a polypeptide comprising a native VpreB sequence fused directly to a heterogeneous amino acid sequence, wherein the heterogeneous amino acid sequence is a λ5 sequence or an antibody light chain variable region sequence, conjugated to an antibody heavy chain sequence comprising a variable region, wherein the construct is capable of specifically binding to a target, wherein said native sequence VpreB is sequence is selected from the group consisting of VpreB1 of SEQ ID NO:
- 1, VpreB2 of SEQ ID NOs:
- 2 and 3, VpreB3 of SEQ ID NO:
- 4, and fragments thereof.
