Abstract
The present invention relates to compositions, kits, and methods for molecular profiling and cancer diagnostics, including but not limited to genomic DNA markers associated with cancer. In particular, the present invention provides molecular profiles associated with thyroid cancer, methods of determining molecular profiles, and methods of analyzing results to provide a diagnosis.

A method for diagnosing thyroid disease in a subject, the method comprising:
- (a) providing a biological sample from a subject;
- (b) assaying said biological sample for at least one gene expression level associated with one or more genes selected from Tables 1, 3-6, and 8, lists 1-45, and their complements;
- (c) identifying, in said biological sample, the presence of one or more polymorphisms of said one or more genes based on said at least one gene expression level of (b);
- and
- (d) determining whether said subject has or is likely to have a malignant or benign thyroid condition based on the result of (c).
