A piece of equipment for exchanging components, such as tools, headpieces and accessories in horizontal lathes, of the variety formed by a horizontal lathe with a main machining spindle or axle, a storage unit in which the various components are located and a piece of handling equipment or a robot for said components, which is automated and governed by a control system, in order to move, exchange and position said components between the storage unit and the lathe positions in which said components are required, the equipment comprises manipulation means with one single main handler, comprising:
- a first retention device located at one end of the handler, preferably used to manipulate tools and accessories;
- a second retention device located at the opposite end to the end at which the first retention device is located, preferably used to manipulate tools and accessories;
- a third retention device located between both the first and second retention devices, preferably used to manipulate headpieces and accessories;
- in such a way that the first and second retention devices are used to fasten the components with one single fastening element located in the same, whilst the third retention device, acting alongside the first or second retention device, is used to fasten components with two fastening elements arranged on the same
A handler for exchanging tools, headpieces and accessories between the positions in which they are stored and the positions of a machine tool in which said components are required in order for the machine tool to be used, of the variety which are coupled to the free end of a piece of handling equipment or robot, and the handler comprises:
- a first retention device located at one end of the handler;
- a second retention device located at the opposite end to the first retention device;
- a third retention device located between both the first and second retention means;
- in such a way that the first and second retention means are used to fasten tools or accessories and the third retention means, acting alongside the first or second retention means, is used to fasten the heavy headpieces and accessories.
A piece of equipment for exchanging components, such as tools, headpieces and accessories in horizontal lathes, of the variety formed by a horizontal lathe with a main machining spindle or axle, a storage unit in which the various components are located and a piece of handling equipment or a robot for said components, which is automated and governed by a control system, in order to move, exchange and position said components between the storage unit and the lathe positions in which said components are required, wherein the equipment comprises manipulation means that at least comprise two interchangeable handlers in the piece of handling equipment or robot, which may be stored in the storage unit, in such a way that a first interchangeable handler comprises at least a first and second retention device, which is preferably used to manipulate tools and accessories and a second interchangeable handler, which comprises a third retention device, preferably used to manipulate headpieces and accessories.
