Abstract
Disclosed is a reservoir connector for usage with plurality of nozzles and at least one conduit, the reservoir connector including a connector body including a conduit association surface configured to associate the connector body with the at least one conduit and a reservoir surface disposed opposite the conduit surface, at least one reservoir wall extending beyond the reservoir surface in a direction opposite the conduit association surface, the at least one reservoir wall delimiting at least one reservoir cavity, and at least one opening defined by the connector body, wherein the at least one opening extends from the conduit association surface to the reservoir surface such that the at least one opening and the reservoir cavities are in fluid communication.
Claims23
A reservoir connector for usage with plurality of nozzles and at least one conduit, the reservoir connector comprising:
- a connector body including a conduit association surface configured to associate said connector body with the at least one conduit, and a reservoir surface that is disposed opposite said conduit surface;
- at least one reservoir wall extending from said reservoir surface in a direction opposite said conduit association surface, said at least one reservoir wall delimiting at least one reservoir cavity;
- and
- at least one opening defined by said connector body, wherein said at least one opening extends from said conduit association surface to said reservoir surface such that said at least one opening and said reservoir cavities are in fluid communication.
An apparatus for filling a confectionary article, the apparatus comprising:
- at least one conduit housed by a conduit housing, said at least one conduit extending from at least one conduit input to at least one conduit output;
- a reservoir connector in association with said at least one conduit output, said reservoir connector including a connector body including a conduit association surface configured to associate said connector body with said at least one conduit and a reservoir surface disposed opposite said conduit surface;
- at least one reservoir wall extending beyond said reservoir surface in a direction opposite said conduit association surface, said at least one reservoir wall delimiting at least one reservoir cavity and including a nozzle association surface configured for association with a nozzle base that at least partially supports a plurality of nozzles;
- at least one opening defined by said connector body, wherein said at least one opening extends from said conduit association surface to said reservoir surface such that said at least one opening and said reservoir cavities are in fluid communication,
- wherein said at least one opening and said reservoir cavities fluidly communicate said at least one conduit with said nozzles.
A method for filling a confectionary article, the method comprising:
- providing a first conduit configured for a confectionary flow;
- providing at least one second conduit configured for a fluid flow, said at least one second conduit including an entry portion and a turn portion;
- disposing at least said turn portion within said first conduit;
- creating said confectionary flow in said first conduit;
- creating said fluid flow in said at least one second conduit;
- alleviating pressure within said at least one second conduit via at least one reservoir cavity positioned between and in fluid communication with an end of said at least one second conduit and a plurality of nozzles configured to output said fluid flow, wherein said at least one reservoir cavity has a greater cross-sectional area than said at least one conduit and each of said plurality of nozzles;
- moving said confectionary flow around at least said turn portion, and outputting said first confectionary flow at a first conduit output;
- outputting said fluid flow through said plurality nozzles in communication with said at least one reservoir cavity, said nozzles terminating in proximity to said first conduit output;
- and
- extruding a confectionary with said fluid flow being surrounded by said confectionary flow.
