Abstract
In an aspect, the invention relates to compositions comprising BMP-7 and methods of using disclosed compositions. In an aspect, the invention relates to compositions for and methods of treating atherosclerosis. Claims20
A method of modulating polarization of a population of monocytes in a subject, comprising:
- administering a composition comprising an effective amount of BMP-7 to a population of monocytes in a subject, thereby modulating the polarization of the monocytes.
A method of ameliorating disease progression in a subject diagnosed with atherosclerosis, comprising:
- administering to a subject a composition comprising an effective amount of BMP-7;
- thereby modulating the polarization of infiltrating monocytes in a subject.
A composition, comprising:
- an effective amount of BMP-7, and a second agent that modulates the polarization of monocytes, M-CSF, or a combination thereof.
