2 A method and a selective-reduction catalyst system to remove foreign matter which may cause closure of a urea water path of a supply module and therearound. A urea water pressure is changed in the urea water path to remove the foreign matter.

A method for removing a foreign matter, which changes a urea water pressure in a urea water path of a selective-reduction catalyst system for purifying NOx in an exhaust gas by providing a urea water to a selective-reduction catalyst.
A selective-reduction catalyst system comprising:
- a selective-reduction catalyst connected to an exhaust pipe;
- a dosing valve for injecting a urea water at an upstream-side of the selective-reduction catalyst;
- a supply module for sucking the urea water in a urea tank and providing the urea water to the dosing valve, and returning surplus urea water back to the urea tank;
- and
- a dosing control module for controlling the dosing valve and the supply module,
- wherein the dosing control module is configured to execute a foreign matter removing mode for changing a urea water pressure in a urea water path of the selective-reduction catalyst system.
