A method for preparing an emulsion composition comprising combining (a) at least one aqueous phase comprising at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent;
- and (b) at least one oil phase comprising at least one polar modified polymer to form an emulsion composition, wherein a reaction product comprising the at least one polar modified polymer and the at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent is formed during preparation of the emulsion composition.
