Abstract
A process for associating a cell with a detected scrambling code in a cellular communications network includes receiving cell data associated with the detected scrambling code, determining a set of candidate cells within a predetermined area, evaluating characteristics of each candidate cell of the set of candidate cells, and associating a cell identifier of a first candidate cell of the set of candidate cells with the detected scrambling code based on the evaluated characteristics.
Claims20
A system for associating a cell with a detected scrambling code in a cellular communications network, the system comprising:
- a processor;
- a memory;
- and
- a non-transitory computer readable medium with computer executable instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, perform the following steps:
- receiving cell data associated with the detected scrambling code;
- determining a set of candidate cells within a predetermined area;
- evaluating characteristics of each candidate cell of the set of candidate cells;
- and
- associating a cell identifier of a first candidate cell of the set of candidate cells with the detected scrambling code based on the evaluated characteristics.
A method for associating a cell with a detected scrambling code in a cellular communications network, the method comprising:
- receiving cell data associated with the detected scrambling code;
- determining a set of candidate cells within a predetermined area;
- evaluating characteristics of each candidate cell of the set of candidate cells;
- and
- associating a cell identifier of a first candidate cell of the set of candidate cells with the detected scrambling code based on the evaluated characteristics.
A non-transitory computer readable medium with computer executable instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, perform the following steps:
- receiving cell data associated with a detected scrambling code;
- determining a set of candidate cells within a predetermined area;
- evaluating characteristics of each candidate cell of the set of candidate cells;
- and
- associating a cell identifier of a first candidate cell of the set of candidate cells with the detected scrambling code based on the evaluated characteristics.
