Abstract
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for deleting and/or not utilizing a PCI/PSC split in instances in which the PCI/PSC split may no longer be valid in a current location. An example method may include determining whether a current physical cell id (PCI) split is configured to camp on a selected cell. The method 5 may further include causing the current PCI split to not be utilized in an instance in which the PCI split is not configured to camp on the selected cell.

A method comprising:
- determining whether a current physical cell id (PCI) split is configured to camp on a selected cell;
- and
- causing the current PCI split to not be utilized in an instance in which the PCI split is not configured to camp on the selected cell.
An apparatus comprising:
- a processor and
- a memory including software, the memory and the software configured to, with the processor, cause the apparatus to at least:
- determine whether a current physical cell id (PCI) split is configured to camp on a selected cell;
- and
- cause the current PCI split to not be utilized in an instance in which the PCI split is not configured to camp on the selected cell.

A computer program product comprising:
- at least one computer readable non-transitory memory medium having program code stored thereon, the program code which when executed by an apparatus cause the apparatus at least to:
- determine whether a current physical cell id (PCI) split is configured to camp on a selected cell;
- and
- cause the current PCI split to not be utilized in an instance in which the PCI split is not configured to camp on the selected cell.
