A PCSK9-binding polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence:
- GX1X2ECLX3NX4GGCSX5X6CX7X8LKIGYECLCPDGFQLVAQRRCE, wherein X1 is D or T;
- X2 is L or N;
- X3 is selected from the group consisting of A, D, E, H, K, L, R, S, V, and Y;
- X4 is L or N;
- X5 is selected from the group consisting of H, W, and Y;
- X6 is selected from the group consisting of I, L, T and V;
- X7 is selected from the group consisting of K, N, R and Q;
- and X8 is selected from the group consisting of A, D, K, N, Q and R (SEQ ID NO:
