Abstract
In accordance with an embodiment, an electronic device includes a controller configured to apply slope compensation to a reference signal in a power factor corrector. The device also configured to adjust the slope compensation based on an input voltage of the power factor corrector.

A method of controlling a power factor corrector, the method comprising:
- applying slope compensation to a reference signal in a power factor corrector;
- and
- adjusting the slope compensation based on an input voltage of the power factor corrector.
An electronic device comprising a controller configured to apply slope compensation to a reference signal in a power factor corrector and to adjust the slope compensation based on an input voltage of the power factor corrector.
A power factor corrector circuit comprising:
- an AC input node of the power factor corrector coupled to a controller;
- a DC output node of the power factor corrector coupled to the controller;
- the controller configured to
- apply slope compensation to a reference signal in a power factor corrector, and
- adjust the slope compensation based on a voltage of the AC input node;
- a switch coupled to the controller;
- and
- an inductor coupled to the switch.
