Abstract
A pixel circuit includes: a switching transistor whose conduction is controlled by a drive signal supplied to the control terminal; a drive wiring adapted to propagate the drive signal; and a data wiring adapted to propagate a data signal. The drive wiring is formed on a first wiring layer and connected to the control terminal of the switching transistor. The data wiring is formed on a second wiring layer and connected to a first terminal of the switching transistor. A multi-layered wiring structure is used so that the second wiring layer is formed on a layer different from that on which the first wiring layer is formed.
Claims21
A display device having a multi-layer wiring structure, comprising:
- a plurality of pixel circuits;
- a first circuitry configured to output a control voltage onto a first wiring;
- and
- a second circuitry configured to output a predetermined voltage onto a second wiring,
- wherein at least one of the plurality of pixel circuits includes:
- an electro-optical element;
- a switching transistor including a control terminal and a first current terminal, the control terminal electrically connected to the first wiring, and the first current terminal electrically connected to the second wiring;
- a capacitive element electrically connected to the switching transistor so as to receive a voltage dependent on the predetermined voltage via the switching transistor;
- and wherein the first wiring is formed on a first layer, the second wiring is formed on a second layer, and the first intermediate wiring is formed on a third layer which is different from the first and the second layers, the first intermediate wiring being electrically connected between the first current terminal and the second wiring.
A display device comprising:
- a plurality of pixel circuits forming a matrix on a display area;

- a plurality of second wirings extending through the display area;
- a first circuitry configured to output a control voltage onto the first wirings;
- and
- a second circuitry configured to output a predetermined voltage onto the second wirings,
- wherein at least one of the plurality of pixel circuits includes:
- a light-emitting element;
- a switching transistor;
- a capacitive element;
- a driving transistor;
- the switching transistor including:
- a control terminal;
- a first current terminal;
- a second current terminal;
- and
- a channel portion continuously formed with the first and second current terminals on a fourth layer,
