Abstract
An interconnection verification means for sensors and a software implementation of interconnection verification between cabling and sensors in large, multi-channel test configurations are disclosed. In a preferred embodiment the sensor assembly comprises a sensor and an indicator electrically connected inline with the sensor. In a preferred embodiment the indicator is an LED. In an even more preferred embodiment, the sensor is an IEPE.

An assembly comprising:
- a sensor;
- and
- an indicator electrically connected inline with the sensor.
A method of verifying a sensor comprising the steps of:
- providing power over a cable to a sensor with a first power supply;
- and
- switching from a first power supply to a second power supply and causing an indicator located proximal to the sensor to indicate.
An indicator assembly comprising:
- a body;
- a first wire and a second wire in electrical communication with a first electrical connector and a second electrical connector on opposite ends of the body respectively;
- an indicator visible on the exterior of the body and in electrical communication with the first wire and the second wire;
- and
- at least one diode arranged to allow current to flow through the indicator in a single direction.

- a cable including;
- a first wire and a second wire in electrical communication with an electrical connector designed to mate with a sensor;
- an indicator integrated into the cable and in electrical communication with the first wire and the second wire;
