Abstract
A reduction in contaminating impurities in a TFT, and a TFT which is reliable, is obtained in a semiconductor device which uses the TFT. By removing contaminating impurities residing in a film interface of the TFT using a solution containing fluorine, a reliable TFT can be obtained.

A display device comprising:
- a first substrate comprising a transistor, a light-emitting element, and a wiring;
- a second substrate over the first substrate;
- a first sealing material interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, the first sealing material being disposed along periphery of the second substrate;
- and
- a second sealing material disposed outside the first sealing material, the second sealing material being in contact with at least a side surface of the second substrate,
- wherein the wiring is electrically connected to an electrode of the light-emitting element,
- wherein the wiring comprises a same layer as a source electrode of the transistor, and
- wherein the wiring comprises a first region in contact with the first sealing material.

- a pixel portion comprising a light-emitting element over a first transistor with an insulating film interposed therebetween;
- and
- a driver circuit including a second transistor;
- a wiring configured to be electrically connected to a flexible printed circuit;

- a first sealing material interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, the first sealing material being disposed along periphery of the second substrate;
- and
- a second sealing material disposed outside the first sealing material, the second sealing material being in contact with at least a side surface of the second substrate,
- wherein the wiring is electrically connected to an electrode of the light-emitting element,
- wherein the wiring comprises a same layer as a source electrode of the first transistor, and
- wherein the wiring comprises a first region in contact with the first sealing material.
