Abstract
A recording apparatus includes a movable belt and a recording mechanism. The movable belt is configured and arranged to convey a recording medium. The recording mechanism is configured and arranged to record onto the recording medium. The movable belt has a mark serving as a reference for when the recording medium is being set thereon.

A recording apparatus comprising:
- a movable belt configured and arranged to convey a recording medium;
- and
- a recording mechanism configured and arranged to record onto the recording medium,
- the movable belt having a mark serving as a reference for when the recording medium is being set thereon.

A recording method for using a recording apparatus having a movable belt configured and arranged to convey a recording medium, and a recording mechanism configured and arranged to record onto the recording medium, the recording method comprising:
- recording, onto the movable belt, a mark serving as a reference for when the recording medium is being set on the movable belt;
- and
- executing recording on the recording medium set onto the movable belt using the mark as the reference.
