A file managing method comprising:

• recording a plurality of files constituting a digital content in a storage device, each file belonging to at least one of a plurality of groups, and at least one file belonging to each group;
• and
• determining whether a file is recorded in the storage device in group units.

A computer containing a microprocessor operating under the control of a computer program, which causes the computer to execute actions, including:

• recording a plurality of files constituting a digital content in a storage device, each file belonging to at least one of a plurality of groups, and at least one file belonging to each group;
• and
• determining whether a file is recorded in the storage device in group units.

A non-transitory, computer readable recording medium on which a computer program is recorded, the computer program, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to execute actions, including:

• recording a plurality of files constituting a digital content in a storage device, each file belonging to at least one of a plurality of groups, and at least one file belonging to each group;
• and
• determining whether a file is recorded in the storage device in group units.
