## Abstract

In a method for protecting heat exchanger pipe in boiler systems having at least one heat exchanger pipe, which is surrounded by a ceramic component, into which flue gas is directed from at least two opposite sides, gas is introduced between the heat exchanger pipe and the ceramic component.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for protecting heat exchanger pipes (10) in boiler systems (1) having at least one heat exchanger pipe (10), which is surrounded by a ceramic component (6), into which flue gas is directed from at least two opposite sides wherein gas is fed into a space (48, 49, 50) adjacent to heat exchanger pipe (10) and ceramic component (6).

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein space (48, 49, 50) is formed by the heat exchanger pipe (10) and the ceramic component (6).

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the gas is fed in at the hottest point between the heat exchanger pipe (10) and the component (6).

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the gas is fed through a gas pipe (13) that is routed through the ceramic component (6).

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the gas is fed in at multiple points.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the gas is fed in through a plurality of apertures (51, 52, 53) arranged at a distance from each other in a gas pipe (13) along the length of the heat exchanger pipe (10).

### Claim 7

A device having a heat exchanger pipe, of which the circumferential surface is surrounded by at least one ceramic component (6), comprising a gas infeed (12) to a space (48, 49, 50) adjacent to the heat exchanger pipe (10) and the ceramic component (6).

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The device according to claim 7, wherein the gas infeed (12) comprises a fan (9).

### Claim 9 (depends on 7)

The device according to claim 7, wherein the gas infeed (12) comprises a gas pipe (13) that passes through the ceramic component (6).

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The device according to claim 7, wherein the heat exchanger pipe (10) is bent in an U-shape and the gas infeed (12) ends in the area of the bend (35).

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The device according to claim 9, wherein the gas pipe (13) is furnished with a plurality of apertures (51, 52, 53) at a distance from each other along the length of the heat exchanger pipe (10).

### Claim 12

A ceramic component (6) containing preferably more than 85 percent silicon carbide and consisting of at least two cuboid ceramic elements (7) having a cross section of arcuate corrugations (34) that are secured to each other by mating corrugation troughs, so that two heat exchanger pipe sections can be arranged in two opposing corrugation troughs (36, 37 and 38, 39), and a gas feed pipe section can be arranged in two opposing corrugation troughs (40, 41) between said pair of corrugation troughs.
