## Abstract

Various exemplary implementations of the principles described herein provide a cover for a golf club. The golf club may include a head and a shaft, the head having a heel end and a toe end, and the shaft connected at the heel end. The cover may include a toe portion substantially shrouding the toe end of the club head and a heel portion substantially shrouding the heel end of the club head and a first length of the shaft. The cover may include a sleeve portion extending from the heel portion and substantially shrouding a second length of the shaft, the second length being greater than the first length. The sleeve portion may have an opening opposite the heel portion. The cover may include a first pull member on the heel portion.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A combination of golf equipment, comprising:
a golf club having a shaft and a club head attached to an end of the shaft, the club head including a toe portion and a heel portion; and
a golf club cover, comprising:
a body that has a shape substantially corresponding to that of the club head and that further has a panel that at least partially shrouds the heel portion and the toe portion when the club head is inserted into the body, and
a pull member located on the body and configured to facilitate removal of the body from the club head, the pull member extending generally from the heel portion toward the toe portion when the club head is inserted into the body, and the pull member having an edge that is separated from the body and that defines an opening between the pull member and the body.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The combination of claim 1, wherein the opening is closed at a first end.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The combination of claim 1, wherein the edge is arcuate in shape.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The combination of claim 1, wherein the pull member is integral with the panel.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The combination of claim 1, wherein the pull member is appended to the panel.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The combination of claim 1, wherein the club cover further comprises a sleeve portion attached to the body.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The combination of claim 1, wherein a depth of the opening extends generally from the heel portion toward the toe portion when the club head is inserted into the body.

### Claim 8

A combination of golf equipment, comprising:
a golf club having a shaft and a club head attached to an end of the shaft; and
a golf club cover, comprising:
a body having a shape substantially corresponding to that of the club head, the body comprising:
a toe cover portion,
a heel cover portion adjacent the toe cover portion, and
a sleeve portion adjacent the heel cover portion and separated from the toe cover portion by the heel cover portion; and
a pull member attached to the exterior of the body so as to be located closer to the heel cover portion than to the toe cover portion and the sleeve portion, the pull member being configured to facilitate removable of the body from the club head and to define an opening between the pull member and the body, the pull member comprising:
a first attachment point fixing the pull member to the body, and
a second attachment point fixing the pull member to the body, the second attachment point being opposite the first attachment point,
wherein the first attachment point and the second attachment point collectively define a pull member distance and a body distance, the pull member distance being defined as the shortest distance between the first attachment point and the second attachment point as measured along the pull member, and the body distance being defined as the shortest distance between the first attachment point and the second attachment point as measured along the exterior of the body, and
wherein the pull member distance is greater than the body distance.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The combination of claim 8, wherein the pull member distance is measured along a pull member edge.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The combination of claim 9, wherein the pull member edge is arcuate in shape.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The combination of claim 9, wherein the pull member edge is generally perpendicular to the toe cover portion-to-sleeve portion direction.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The combination of claim 9, wherein an opening tapers in the toe cover portion-to-sleeve portion direction.

### Claim 13

A combination of golf equipment, comprising:
a golf club having a shaft and a club head attached to an end of the shaft; and
a golf club cover, comprising:
a body that has a shape substantially corresponding to that of the club head and that at least partially shrouds the club head when the club head is inserted into the body, and
a pull member located on the body and configured to facilitate removal of the club head from the body, the pull member projecting from the body so as to define an opening that, when the club head is inserted into the body, faces a direction generally parallel to an axial direction of the shaft.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The combination of claim 13, wherein, when the club head is inserted into the body, the pull member projects from the body in a direction generally perpendicular to the axial direction of the shaft.

### Claim 15 (depends on 13)

The combination of claim 13, wherein:
the body has a heel cover portion that is adjacent to a heel portion of the club head when the club head is inserted into the body; and
the pull member projects from the heel cover portion.

### Claim 16 (depends on 13)

The combination of claim 13, wherein the pull member defines a cavity that extends from the opening in the direction generally parallel to the axial direction of the shaft.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The combination of claim 16, wherein:
the opening is at a first end of the cavity; and
a second end of the cavity in the direction generally parallel to the axial direction of the shaft is closed.

### Claim 18 (depends on 16)

The combination of claim 16, wherein:
the opening is a first opening at a first end of the cavity; and
the pull member defines a second opening at a second end of the cavity such that an imaginary line in the direction generally parallel to the axial direction of the shaft intersects the first and the second openings.
