The mouthguard assembly includes a generally curved mouthguard for insertion into a user's mouth having an outer portion and inner portion, a channel formed within the outer or inner portion of the mouthguard, and an attachment means housed within the channel. The user can extend the attachment means out of the channel to temporarily attach the mouthguard assembly to clothing or apparatus of the user for storage of the mouthguard when it is not used. ## Claims ### Claim 1 A mouthguard assembly comprising: a mouthguard having an outer portion and an inner portion forming a channel within the outer portion of the mouthguard; and an attachment arm configured to extend from the mouthguard so as to temporarily attach the mouthguard to the user, said attachment arm configured to fit with a cavity formed in the mouthguard so that the attachment arm can be extended out of the cavity to temporarily attach the mouthguard assembly to the user's equipment and when the mouthguard is to be used the attachment arm is positioned back into the cavity for storage. ### Claim 2 (depends on 1) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 1, wherein the attachment arm is configured to compression fit within the cavity and comprises a hook. ### Claim 3 (depends on 1) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 1, wherein the attachment arm comprises a clip. ### Claim 4 (depends on 1) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 1, wherein the attachment arm has a curved configuration of the mouthguard and is connected within the cavity by a hinge. ### Claim 5 (depends on 1) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 1, wherein the cavity is constructed in the outer portion of the mouthguard and is configured to mate with the attachment arm such that the attachment arm can be extended out from the cavity of the mouthguard about the hinge and fitted back into the cavity and held in place by a compression between the attachment arm and the cavity. ### Claim 6 (depends on 1) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 1, wherein the mouthguard comprises one or more of the following materials ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA), polyurethane, polystyrene, polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, polycaprolactone and rubber. ### Claim 7 (depends on 1) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 1, wherein the inner portion comprises an antimicrobial material. ### Claim 8 (depends on 1) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 1, wherein the inner portion comprises a flavoring agent. ### Claim 9 (depends on 8) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 8, wherein the flavoring agent comprises an agent selected from the group consisting of flavoring crystals embedded throughout the mouthguard material, an emulsion of flavoring, powdered flavoring dusted about the mouthguard, fragrance and a coloring agent. ### Claim 10 (depends on 9) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 9, further comprising an antibacterial agent. ### Claim 11 A mouthguard assembly comprising: a generally curved mouthguard for insertion into a user's mouth having an outer portion and inner portion; a channel formed within the inner portion of the mouthguard; and an attachment arm configured to temporarily attach the mouthguard assembly to clothing or apparatus of the user, said attachment arm housed within outer portion of the mouthguard so that the user can extend the attachment means out from the mouthguard to temporarily attach the mouthguard assembly to clothing or apparatus of the user for storage. ### Claim 12 (depends on 11) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 11, wherein the attachment arm further comprises a hinge having a first end and second end, the hinge attached to the attachment arm at the first end and the attachment arm at the second end so as to allow the attachment arm to have a stored position within the cavity and an extended position extended away from the mouthguard, the hinge configured to facilitate the attachment arm to move from the stored position to the extended position and back to the stored position by manipulation of the user. ### Claim 13 (depends on 11) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 11, wherein the attachment arm further comprises a clip. ### Claim 14 (depends on 11) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 11, wherein the attachment arm is configured so as to contour a front portion and a side portion of the mouthguard with the hinge connecting the attachment arm to the side of the mouthguard. ### Claim 15 (depends on 11) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 11, wherein the mouthguard comprises one or more of ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA), polyurethane, polystyrene, polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, polycaprolactone and rubber. ### Claim 16 (depends on 11) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 11, wherein the mouthguard comprises an agent selected from the group consisting of an antimicrobial agent, a powdered flavoring agent, a flavoring crystal, a flavoring liquid, a flavoring emulsion, a fragrance and a coloring agent. ### Claim 17 (depends on 11) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 11, wherein the inner portion comprises a thermal molding material that softens with heated so that the thermal molding material can take the form of the user's teeth when the user's teeth are pressed into the thermal molded material after it has been exposed to heat. ### Claim 18 (depends on 17) A mouthguard assembly according to claim 17, wherein the inner portion further comprises a plurality of cilia. ### Claim 19 A mouthguard system comprising: a mouthguard for insertion into a user's mouth having an outer portion and inner portion; a channel formed within the inner portion of the mouthguard; an attachment arm configured to temporarily attach the mouthguard assembly to clothing or equipment of the user, said attachment arm housed within a cavity in the outer portion of the mouthguard so that the user can extend the attachment arm out from the mouthguard; a hinge having a first end and a second end wherein the hinge is attached to the attachment arm at the first end and the attachment arm at the second end so as to facilitate the attachment arm to move from a stored position to the extended position and back to the stored position by manipulation about the hinge by the user; a flavoring agent incorporated as part of the mouthguard; and a storage case configured to fit the mouthguard wherein the case comprises additional flavoring agents that come in contact with the mouthguard so as to enhance the flavor of the mouthguard when the mouthguard is stored in the storage case. ### Claim 20 (depends on 19) A mouthguard system according to claim 19 wherein the storage case contains antimicrobial agents to prevent bacterial growth in the case.
