Abstract
A pressure roller for an apparatus for compaction of empty (disposable) hollow bodies (beverage containers), particularly plastic bottles or tin cans, having at least one rotating roller that is disposed at a distance from a counter-bearing, forming a gap, has an essentially cylindrical mantle surface that possesses multiple profiled partial regions of the same type and the same width in its working region, following one another in the axial direction. These profiled partial regions are separated from one another, in each instance, by a circumferential recess. Each of these profiled partial regions—viewed axially—has multiple sections that follow one another. At least one cam-shaped projection that projects radially away from the mantle surface is disposed in one of these sections.
Claims11
Pressure roller for an apparatus for compaction of empty (disposable) hollow bodies (beverage containers), particularly plastic bottles or tin cans, having at least one rotating roller that is disposed at a distance from a counter-bearing, forming a gap, wherein
- the essentially cylindrical mantle surface of the pressure roller possesses multiple profiled partial regions of the same type and the same width in its working region, following one another in the axial direction, wherein these profiled partial regions are separated from one another, in each instance, by a circumferential recess, and wherein each of these profiled partial regions—viewed axially—has multiple sections that follow one another, wherein at least one cam-shaped projection that projects radially away from the mantle surface is disposed in one of these sections.
Apparatus for compaction of empty (disposable) hollow bodies (beverage containers), particularly plastic bottles or tin cans, having at least one rotating pressure roller that is disposed at a distance from a counter-bearing, forming a gap, wherein
- the mantle surface of the pressure rollers, in their working region, are formed in the same manner, wherein each of the rollers, in the axial direction, in its working region, possesses multiple regions of the same width, wherein these regions are separated from one another, in each instance, by a circumferential recess, and wherein each of these regions—viewed axially—has multiple sections that follow one another and are separated from one another, wherein one of these sections possesses multiple cam-shaped projections that project radially away from the mantle surface, which preferably are simultaneously perforation elements.
Use of an apparatus for compaction of empty (disposable) hollow bodies (beverage containers), particularly plastic bottles or tin cans, having at least one rotating pressure roller that is disposed at a distance from a counter-bearing, forming a gap, wherein the mantle surface of the pressure rollers is formed in the same manner in their working region, wherein
- each of the rollers possesses multiple regions having the same width, in the axial direction, in its working region, wherein these regions are separated from one another by a circumferential recess, in each instance, and wherein
- each of these regions—viewed axially—has multiple sections that follow one another and are spaced apart from one another, wherein one of these sections possesses multiple cam-shaped projections that project radially away from the mantle surface, as an apparatus for comminution of hollow bodies/containers made of glass, which correspond to a beverage container in terms of their shape and size.
