## Abstract

A device for positioning multiple function elements having a recess for receiving a shaft in a predetermined angle position may include multiple mountings for receiving the function elements. The mountings may be equipped with a moulding establishing the predetermined angle position of the respective function element corresponding to the angle position on the shaft. The mountings may be positioned such that the recesses of the function elements lie on a common straight line. The mountings may be arranged vertically on top of one another so that the common straight line runs in vertical direction. A vertically moveable guide carriage for the shaft may be provided for joining the shaft with the function elements in vertical direction.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A device for positioning multiple function elements, having a recess for receiving a shaft, in a predetermined angle position on the shaft, comprising: multiple mountings for receiving a function element, each mounting equipped with a moulding establishing the predetermined angle position of the respective function element corresponding to the angle position on the shaft, wherein the mountings can be positioned such that the recesses of the function elements lie on a common straight line,
the mountings are arranged vertically on top of one another, so that the common straight line runs in vertical direction, and
a vertically moveable guide carriage for the shaft is provided, the guide carriage configured for joining the shaft with the function elements in vertical direction.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The device according to claim 1, wherein the mountings are at least partially formed from an inductively non-heatable material.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The device according to claim 1, wherein the shaft is connected to the function elements via a thermal joining fit in which at least one of the shaft is cooled and the function elements are heated.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The device according to claim 1, wherein at least one of:
(i) at least one mounting includes at least three pin elements, which are arranged so that a function element is angle-accurately received therein, and
(ii) at least one moulding is provided with a contour surrounding the function element, the contour of which is formed in at least three locations so that a contact point with the function element is obtained and the function element is angle-accurately received.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The device according to claim 1, wherein the mouldings have an at least a partial negative contour of the function elements so that these are angle-accurately received therein.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The device according to claim 5, wherein the negative contour of the moulding is matched to an outer contour of the function element to be received such that the function element does not securely couple with the moulding at room temperature.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The device according to claim 1, further comprising a heating device which joins at least two function elements to respective mountings.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The device according to claim 7, wherein the heating device comprises at least two induction coils which can be controlled independently of one another.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The device according to claim 1, wherein at least one mounting is coolable in order to be able to adjust a certain temperature at least in the region of the moulding even when a heated function element is positioned in the mounting.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The device according to claim 7, wherein the negative contour of the moulding is smaller by at least 10% of a heat expansion of the function element heated by the heating device than the heated function element, so that the heated function element is braced and fixed in the negative contour.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The device according to claim 1, wherein at least four mountings are arranged vertically on top of one another so that the common straight line runs in vertical direction.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The device according to claim 11, wherein:
at least two mountings are arranged on a platform,
at least two such platforms are arranged on the device through positioning elements, and
the common straight line runs vertically.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The device according to claims 1, further comprising a holding device for a bearing frame for the shaft, wherein positioning of the bearing frame relative to the device takes place by way of at least two positioning elements such that a bearing gallery of the bearing frame is aligned with the recesses of the individual function elements.

### Claim 14

A method for thermally joining a shaft with multiple function elements having a recess for the shaft using a positioning device comprising:
placing function elements angle-accurately in a respective moulding of a plurality of mountings such that recesses of the function elements lie on a common substantially vertical straight line,
at least one of cooling the shaft and heating the function elements,
pushing the shaft with a vertically moveable guide carriage through the recesses of the function elements,
fixing the function elements on the shaft via a temperature equalisation fixing, and
removing the shaft including function elements fixed thereon from the device.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The method according to claim 14, wherein the function elements are at least one of heated in the mountings or heated externally.

### Claim 16 (depends on 1)

The device according to claim 1, wherein the function element comprises at least one of cams, balancing masses, gear wheels and bearings.

### Claim 17 (depends on 13)

The device according to claim 13, wherein the positioning elements are fitted pins.

### Claim 18

A positioning assembly, comprising:
a shaft;
a plurality of function elements each having a recess for receiving the shaft in a predetermined angle position on the shaft; and
a positioning device having multiple mountings for receiving the function elements, the mountings including a moulding to receive a function element in a predetermined angle position corresponding to the predetermined angle position on the shaft, wherein the mountings can be positioned such that the recesses of the function elements are arranged on a common straight line, and the mountings arranged vertically on top of one another so that the common straight line runs in vertical direction;
