## Abstract

Provided is a method of treating SARS in mammals. The method includes administering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one composition selected from the group consisting of myricetin, scutellarein and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a mammal in need of treatment of SARS diseases to suppress the activities of SARS coronavirus helicase.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method of treating SARS in mammals comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one composition selected from the group consisting of myricetin, scutellarein and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a mammal in need of treatment of SARS diseases to suppress the activities of SARS coronavirus helicase.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the composition suppresses the activities of SARS coronavirus helicase nsP13.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the composition suppresses the ATP hydrolysis activity of the SARS coronavirus helicase nsP13.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the mammal is humans.
