### Claim 18

A method for controlling pests from the order of Coleoptera comprising treating the pest, a habitat of the pest, a breeding ground of the pest, a locus, or a plant to be protected against pest attack, soil or a plant propagation material, or a locus where the plant is growing or is expected to grow or a plant propagation material from which the plant grows, with an effective amount of a mixture comprising fipronil and abamectin.

The method of claim 18, wherein the mixture comprising fipronil and abamectin is in synergistically effective amounts.

### Claim 20 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, wherein the ratio of fipronil and abamectin is from 200:1 to 1:200.

The method of claim 18, wherein the ratio of fipronil to abamectin is from 1:50 to 50:1.

The method of claim 18, wherein the mixture is applied at a rate of 0.3 to 2000 g/ha.

A method for protection of plant propagation material from pests of the order of Coleoptera, comprising contacting the plant propagation materials with a pesticidally effective amount of a mixture comprising fipronil and abamectin.
