## Abstract

A system for generating a three-dimensional puzzle comprises a processor and a memory. The processor is configured to generate a three dimensional mesh representation. The processor is further configured to convert polygons comprising the three-dimensional mesh representation to one or more puzzle piece representations. The processor is further configured to add attachment points and receiving points to the one or more puzzle piece representations. The processor is further configured to provide the one of more puzzle piece representations with attachment points and receiving points. The memory is coupled to the processor and configured, to provide the processor with instructions.

## Claims

### Claim 20

A system for generating a three-dimensional puzzle, comprising:
a processor configured to:
generate a three dimensional mesh representation that includes a first polygon that is disposed adjacent to a second polygon and is further positioned at a first angle relative to the second polygon; and
convert the plurality of polygons into a plurality of puzzle piece representations,
wherein the plurality of puzzle piece representations includes a first puzzle piece representation corresponding to the first polygon and a second puzzle piece representation corresponding to the second polygon, and
wherein the first puzzle piece representation includes a first attachment point configured to couple the first puzzle piece representation to the second puzzle piece representation at the first angle.

### Claim 21 (depends on 20)

The system of claim 20, wherein the second puzzle piece representation includes a receiving point configured to be coupled to the first attachment point.

### Claim 22 (depends on 20)

The system of claim 20, wherein the first puzzle piece representation includes a top layer, a bottom layer, and a middle layer.

### Claim 23 (depends on 22)

The system of claim 22, wherein the middle layer is flexible and the top layer and bottom layer are rigid.

### Claim 24 (depends on 20)

The system of claim 20, wherein the processor is further configured to generate the three dimensional mesh representation based on a three-dimensional surface.

### Claim 25 (depends on 20)

The system of claim 20, wherein the first attachment point is located on a first edge of the first puzzle piece representation, and a second attachment point is also located on the first edge.

### Claim 26 (depends on 20)

The system of claim 20, wherein the first puzzle piece representation includes a first triangle, a second triangle, and a flexible joint between the first triangle and the second triangle.

### Claim 27 (depends on 20)

The system of claim 20, wherein the attachment point includes a flexible layer and a gap sized to form a first maximum bend angle based on the first angle.

### Claim 28

A method for generating a three-dimensional puzzle, comprising:
generating a three dimensional mesh representation that includes a first polygon that is disposed adjacent to a second polygon and is further positioned at a first angle relative to the second polygon; and
converting the plurality of polygons into a plurality of puzzle piece representations,
wherein the plurality of puzzle piece representations includes a first puzzle piece representation corresponding to the first polygon and a second puzzle piece representation corresponding to the second polygon, and
