## Abstract

The present invention relates to various methods for allocating and transmitting an enhanced physical downlink control channel, and apparatuses for supporting same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for receiving an enhanced physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) in a wireless access system can comprise the steps of: receiving an E-PDCCH indication signal comprising information on the existence of an E-PDCCH signal and resource allocation information, which shows a resource region from which the E-PDCCH is transmitted; and receiving the E-PDCCH signal from the resource region that is shown by the resource allocation information, wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal can be transmitted from a legacy PDCCH region.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for receiving an Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (E-PDCCH) signal in a wireless access system, the method comprising;
receiving an E-PDCCH indication signal including information indicating the presence or absence of an E-PDCCH signal and resource allocation information indicating a resource region of the E-PDCCH signal; and
receiving the E-PDCCH signal in the resource region indicated by the resource allocation information,
wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal is transmitted in a legacy PDCCH region.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal is transmitted in a Common Search Space (CSS).

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal is transmitted in a first Control Channel Element (CCE) of the legacy PDCCH region.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the resource region of the E-PDCCH signal is configured based on Cell-specific Reference Signal (CRS) or Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS).

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the resource region of the E-PDCCH signal is allocated only to a first slot of a subframe carrying the E-PDCCH indication signal.

### Claim 6

A method for transmitting an Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (E-PDCCH) signal in a wireless access system, the method comprising;
transmitting an E-PDCCH indication signal including information indicating the presence or absence of an E-PDCCH signal and resource allocation information indicating a resource region of the E-PDCCH signal; and
transmitting the E-PDCCH signal in the resource region indicated by the resource allocation information,
wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal is transmitted in a legacy PDCCH region.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The method according to claim 6, wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal is transmitted in a Common Search Space (CSS).

### Claim 8 (depends on 6)

The method according to claim 6, wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal is transmitted in a first Control Channel Element (CCE) of the legacy PDCCH region.

### Claim 9 (depends on 6)

The method according to claim 6, wherein the resource region of the E-PDCCH signal is configured based on Cell-specific Reference Signal (CRS) or Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS).

### Claim 10 (depends on 6)

The method according to claim 6, wherein the resource region of the E-PDCCH signal is allocated only to a first slot of a subframe carrying the E-PDCCH indication signal.

### Claim 11

A User Equipment (UE) for receiving an Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (E-PDCCH) signal in a wireless access system, the method comprising;
a reception module;
a transmission module; and
a processor configured to support reception of an E-PDCCH signal,
wherein the UE receives an E-PDCCH indication signal including information indicating the presence or absence of an E-PDCCH signal and resource allocation information indicating a resource region of the E-PDCCH signal through the reception module, and receives the E-PDCCH signal in the resource region indicated by the resource allocation information through the reception module, and
wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal is transmitted in a legacy PDCCH region.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The UE according to claim 11, wherein the E-PDCCH indication signal is transmitted in a Common Search Space (CSS).

### Claim 13 (depends on 11)
