## Abstract

Vehicle location sharing systems and methods are described. In an embodiment, a system for sharing a location of a vehicle may include a location-determining device and a network-connected device. The location-determining device may be configured to track a location of a vehicle and to determine a location of the vehicle in response to a voice command from an occupant of the vehicle. The network-connected device may be configured to transmit a location description in response to the voice command. The location description may be configured to identify the determined location of the vehicle.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A system for sharing a location of a vehicle, the system comprising:
one or more electronic devices configured to:
determine a location of the vehicle in response to an input from an occupant of the vehicle, and
transmit a location description in response to the input, the location description configured to identify the determined location of the vehicle.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more electronic devices are further configured to indicate that the location description has been successfully transmitted.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The system of claim 2, wherein indicating that the location description has been successfully transmitted includes displaying a visual indication that the location description has been successfully transmitted.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the input includes a voice command.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the location description includes at least one of a nickname, a make, or a model of the vehicle.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein transmitting the location description includes posting the location description to a site accessible via the internet.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein transmitting the location description includes posting the location description to social media.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein transmitting the location description includes sending the location description as at least part of an email message or a short message service (SMS) message.

### Claim 9

A method of sharing a location of a vehicle, the method comprising:
determining a location of the vehicle in response to an input from an occupant of the vehicle; and
transmitting a location description in response to the input, the location description configured to identify the determined location of the vehicle.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, further comprising indicating that the location description has been successfully transmitted.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The method of claim 10, wherein indicating that the location description has been successfully transmitted includes displaying a visual indication that the location description has been successfully transmitted.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein the input includes a voice command.

### Claim 13 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein the location description includes at least one of a nickname, a make, or a model of the vehicle.

### Claim 14 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein transmitting the location description includes posting the location description to a site accessible via the internet.

### Claim 15 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, further comprising transmitting supplemental information regarding the vehicle, including at least one of:
current time;
direction of travel;
destination;
expected arrival time at destination;
user comments;
traffic information;
audio message;
video; and
picture.

### Claim 16 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein transmitting the location description includes posting the location description to social media.

### Claim 17 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein transmitting the location description includes sending the location description as at least part of an email message or a short message service (SMS) message.

### Claim 18

A computer-readable medium having computer instructions stored thereon that are executable by a processing device to perform operations comprising:
determining a location of the vehicle in response to an input from an occupant of the vehicle; and
transmitting a location description in response to the input, the location description configured to identify the determined location of the vehicle.

### Claim 19 (depends on 18)

The computer-readable medium of claim 18, the operations further comprising indicating that the location description has been successfully transmitted.

### Claim 20 (depends on 18)

The computer-readable medium of claim 18, wherein indicating that the location description has been successfully transmitted includes displaying a visual indication that the location description has been successfully transmitted.

### Claim 21 (depends on 18)

The computer-readable medium of claim 18, wherein the location description includes at least one of a nickname, a make, or a model of the vehicle.

### Claim 22 (depends on 18)

The computer-readable medium of claim 18, wherein transmitting the location description includes posting the location description to a site accessible via the internet.

### Claim 23 (depends on 18)

The computer-readable medium of claim 18, wherein transmitting the location description includes posting the location description to social media.
