## Abstract

Maneuverable strollers are disclosed herein. An example stroller disclosed herein includes a frame having a front wheel and rear wheel to support the frame. An intermediate wheel is positioned between the front wheel and the rear wheel. A carriage is coupled to the rear wheel, the intermediate wheel and the frame.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A stroller comprising:
a frame;
a front wheel and a rear wheel to support the frame;
an intermediate wheel positioned between the front wheel and the rear wheel; and
a carriage coupled to the rear wheel and the intermediate wheel, the carriage pivotally mounted to the frame to enable the frame to pivot about a pivot axis when the front wheel of the stroller is elevated relative to the intermediate wheel and the rear wheel, the pivot axis being offset relative to an axis of rotation of the intermediate wheel and an axis of rotation of the rear wheel.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A stroller as defined in claim 1, further comprising an axle extending between a first side frame assembly and a second side frame assembly of the frame, the axle defining the pivot axis.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

A stroller as defined in claim 2, wherein the axle is coupled to the carriage and positioned between the axis of rotation of the intermediate wheel and the axis of rotation of the rear wheel.

### Claim 4

(canceled)

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

A stroller as defined in claim 1, wherein the intermediate wheel and the rear wheel remain engaged with a travel surface when the front wheel is elevated relative to the travel surface.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

A stroller as defined in claim 1, further comprising a suspension to provide a reactive force when a front end of the stroller is pivoted upward with the rear wheel and the intermediate wheel on a ground surface.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

A stroller as defined in claim 6, wherein the suspension comprises a torsion spring coupled to an axle of the stroller.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

A stroller as defined in claim 1, further comprising a limit to limit a rotational distance that the frame is able to pivot about the pivot axis.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

A stroller as defined in claim 1, wherein the intermediate wheel is to provide a turning pivot point about which to turn the stroller when a turning force is applied to a handle of the stroller.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

A stroller as defined in claim 1, wherein a distance between a center of the intermediate wheel and a center of the rear wheel is less than a distance between the center of the intermediate wheel and a center of the front wheel.

### Claim 11

A stroller comprising:
a frame having a first side frame assembly laterally spaced from a second side frame assembly to define a seating area therebetween;
a front wheel to support a front end of the frame;
a rear wheel to support a rear end of the frame;
an intermediate wheel to provide a turning pivot positioned between the front wheel and the rear wheel; and
an axle extending between the first side frame assembly and the second side frame assembly, the axle defining a pivot axis about which the frame is to pivot when the front wheel is raised relative to the rear wheel and the intermediate wheel, the axle positioned between an axis of rotation of the intermediate wheel and an axis of rotation of the rear wheel.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

A stroller as defined in claim 11, further comprising a suspension coupled to the axle to provide an increased force to the frame when the frame is pivoted about the axle.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

A stroller as defined in claim 12, wherein the suspension comprises a torsion spring coaxially coupled to at least one of the axle or the frame.

### Claim 14 (depends on 11)

A stroller as defined in claim 11, further comprising a carriage to mount the intermediate wheel and the rear wheel to the frame.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

A stroller as defined in claim 14, wherein each of the side frame assemblies includes a lower frame support, an upper frame support and an intermediate frame support pivotally coupled via a pivot connector at respective first ends of the lower, upper and intermediate frame supports.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

A stroller as defined in claim 15, wherein the lower frame support is substantially aligned or parallel to the upper frame support and the intermediate frame support is substantially perpendicular relative to the lower and upper frame supports when the frame is in an in-use position.

### Claim 17 (depends on 15)

A stroller as defined in claim 15, further comprising a suspension positioned adjacent the intermediate frame support, the suspension having a first end coupled to the upper frame support and a second end coupled to the carriage.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

A stroller as defined in claim 17, wherein the suspension is substantially parallel to the intermediate frame support.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)

A stroller as defined in claim 17, wherein the suspension, the intermediate frame support, the upper frame support and the carriage define a linkage to cause the carriage to rotate about the axle when folding the stroller to a collapsed position.

### Claim 20

A method of manufacturing a stroller, the method comprising:
mounting a front wheel to a front portion of a frame;
mounting rear wheels and intermediate wheels to the frame such that the intermediate wheels are positioned between the front wheel and the rear wheels; and
providing a pivot axis between the rear wheels and the intermediate wheels to enable the front portion of the frame to elevate relative to a rear portion of the frame, the pivot axis being positioned between an axis of rotation of the rear wheel and axis of rotation of the intermediate wheel.

### Claim 21 (depends on 20)

A method of claim 20, wherein mounting the rear wheels and the intermediate wheels to the frame comprises mounting the intermediate wheels and the rear wheels to a carriage and mounting the carriage to the frame at the pivot axis.

### Claim 22 (depends on 21)

A method of claim 21, further comprising rotatably coupling the frame to rotate about the pivot axis relative to the carriage.

### Claim 23 (depends on 21)

A method of claim 21, further comprising coupling a suspension to the carriage such that the suspension provides an increased force when the frame is rotated about pivot axis.

### Claim 24 (depends on 21)

A method of claim 21, further comprising forming the frame by coupling a lower frame support, an upper frame support and an intermediate frame support to a pivot connector at respective first ends of the frame supports and rotatably coupling the intermediate support to the pivot axis at a second end of the intermediate frame support.

### Claim 25 (depends on 24)

A method of claim 24, further comprising mounting a suspension to the frame adjacent the intermediate frame support, the suspension having a first portion coupled to the upper frame support and a second portion coupled to the carriage, the suspension to provide an increased force when the frame pivots about the pivot axis.
