## Abstract

This invention relates to a secure document (1) comprising a substrate (7) integrating a radiofrequency identification device (11;13), the said substrate (7) comprising at least one slot (15).

## Claims

### Claim 1

A secure document (1) comprising a substrate (7) having at least one stress relief slot (15); and a radiofrequency identification device (11; 13) integrated into the substrate.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The secure document (1) according to claim 1, wherein the said at least one stress relief slot (15) is an incision in the substrate (17) near the radiofrequency identification device (11; 13).

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The secure document (1) according to claim 1, wherein the length of the said at least one stress relief slot (15) is greater than or equal to the size of the radiofrequency identification device (11; 13).

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The secure document (1) according to claim 1, wherein the length of the said at least one stress relief slot (15) is smaller than the size of the radiofrequency identification device (11; 13).

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The secure document (1) according to claim 1, wherein the said at least one stress relief slot (15) is shaped to curve around the radiofrequency identification device (11; 13).

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The secure document (1) according to claim 1, wherein the said secure document (1) is shaped like a booklet and comprises a hinge (9).

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The secure document according to claim 6, wherein the said at least one stress relief slot (15) is located between the hinge (9) and the radiofrequency identification device (11; 13).

### Claim 8 (depends on 6)

The secure document (1) according to claim 6, wherein the said secure document (1) is an electronic passport.
