Abstract
In a graphical modeling environment, a method of providing varying levels of protection relating to functionalities associated with at least some elements of a block diagram model, the method including: receiving a selection of one of the elements; receiving an indication of a desired authorization required to use at least one function of the selected element; implementing the indicated authorization for the use of the at least one function; and preventing, without obtaining of the authorization, an attempted use of the at least one function.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions, the instructions comprising:
- one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- receive a selection of a model element included in a graphical model,
- the graphical model, when executed, simulating a behavior of a system;
- lock the model element based on the selection;
- generate code based on the graphical model;
- obfuscate, based on the model element being locked, a portion of the generated code associated with the model element;
- provide the generated code, including the obfuscated portion of the generated code, for display;
- receive, after providing the generated code for display, a request to unlock the model element;
- unlock the model element based on the request;
- and
- modify, based on unlocking the model element, a display of the generated code to cause the portion of the generated code to be displayed, without obfuscation, within the generated code.
A device comprising:
- one or more processors to:
- generate code based on a graphical model,
- the graphical model, when executed, simulating a behavior of a system, and
- a model element, included in the graphical model, being locked;
- obfuscate, based on the model element being locked, a portion of the generated code associated with the model element;
- provide the generated code, including the obfuscated portion of the generated code, for display to a user;
- receive, from the user and after providing the generated code for display, a request to unlock the model element;
- unlock the model element based on the request;
- and
- modify, based on unlocking the model element, a display of the generated code to cause the portion of the generated code to be displayed, without obfuscation, within the generated code.
A method comprising:
- generating code based on a graphical model,
- the graphical model, when executed, simulating a behavior of a system,
- a model element, included in the graphical model, being locked, and
- generating the code being performed by the device;
- obfuscating, based on the model element being locked, a portion of the generated code associated with the model element,
- obfuscating the portion of the generated code being performed by the device;
- providing the generated code, including the obfuscated portion of the generated code, for display to the user,
- providing the generated code for display being performed by the device;
- receiving, after providing the generated code for display, a request to unlock the model element,
- receiving the request being performed by the device;
- unlocking the model element based on the request,
- unlocking the model element being performed by the device;
- and
- modifying, based on unlocking the model element, a display of the generated code to cause the portion of the generated code to be displayed, without obfuscation, within the generated code,
- modifying the display of the generated code being performed by the device.
