Abstract
Manipulation of a Web page displayed through a first device as a function of user interaction with a second device is contemplated. The manipulation may include operating the second device as a touchscreen or other gesture-based controllable device and automatically providing corresponding navigation within the Web page as a function of interactions registered through the second device.
Claims20
A computer-readable medium having non-transitory instructions operable with a processor to facilitate manipulating a first Web page executing in a first Web browser of a first device as a function of user interaction with a second Web page executing in a second Web browser of a second device, the first Web browser generating a first document object model (DOM) for the first Web page, the computer-readable medium comprising instructions sufficient for:
- determining a first user interaction with the second Web page;
- and
- publishing a first interaction command to a first administration agent operating on the first device, the first interaction command representing the first user interaction with the second Web page, the first administration agent manipulating at least one of a plurality of first DOM objections associated with the first DOM according to the first interaction command, thereby manipulating the first Web page as a function of the first user interaction with the second Web page.
- receiving a first interaction command from the second device, the first interaction command representing a first user interaction with the second Web page;
- and
- manipulating at least one of a plurality of first DOM objections associated with the first DOM according to the first interaction command, thereby manipulating the first Web page as a function of the first user interaction with the second Web page.
The computer-readable medium of claim 11 further comprising instructions sufficient for manipulating at least one of the first DOM objects according to the first interaction command in order to depict cursor movement within a first display being used to display the first Web page.
A Web browsing system comprising:
- a device configured to facilitate download of a Web page from a Web server;
- a Web browser configured to process the downloaded Web page for visual presentation using the device;
- a model having a plurality of objects, the objects resulting from the downloaded Web page, at least some of the objects having controllable attributes, the Web browser using the model to render the visual presentation, including varying the visual presentation according to changes in the controllable attributes;
- a human computer interface (HCI) operable to facilitate changing one or more of the controllable attributes as a function of user interaction with the device;
- and
- a bridge computer interface (BCI) operable to facilitate changing one or more of the controllable attributes as a function of a control message received through a bridge in order to depict cursor movement within the Web page, the bridge electronically connecting the device to a remotely located controller.
