Abstract
According to one embodiment, a setting method, includes storing, in a first partition of a storage which stores a first file causing a processor to execute a first program to booting an operating system, a second file having a same path as a path of the first file and causing the processor to execute a second program. The second program is executed by the processor at activation of an information processing apparatus and causing the processor to execute the first program.

A setting method, comprising
- storing, in a first partition of a storage which stores a first file causing a processor to execute a first program to booting an operating system, a second file having a same path as a path of the first file and causing the processor to execute a second program, wherein the second program is executed by the processor at activation of an information processing apparatus and causing the processor to execute the first program.
A computer-readable, non-transitory storage medium having stored thereon a computer program which is executable by a computer, the computer program controlling the computer to execute a function of:
- storing, in a first partition of a storage which stores a first file causing a processor to execute a first program to boot an operating system, a second file having a same path as a path of the first file and causing the processor to execute a second program, wherein the second program is executed by the processor at activation of an information processing apparatus and causing the processor to execute the first program.
An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a storage device configured to store an operating system file to cause the processor to execute an operating system, a first file to cause the processor to execute a first program to boot the operating system, and a second file to cause the processor to execute a second program,
- wherein the second program is executed by the processor at activation of the information processing apparatus and causing the information processing apparatus to execute the first program, and
- a path of the second file is a path in a case where a file to be read at the activation of the apparatus is not set.
