Media content discovery and consumption systems and methods

A method comprising:

• receiving, by a media content discovery system, a message addressed to a personalized destination within a media content consumption service, the message having originated outside of the media content consumption service;
• using, by the media content discovery system, message content included in the message to search within the media content consumption service for media content assets associated with the message content;
• and
• posting, by the media content discovery system, data representative of a result of the search to the personalized destination within the media content consumption service for access by a user from within the media content consumption service.

A system comprising:

• a media service personalization facility that
• receives a message addressed to a personalized destination within a media content consumption service, the message having originated outside of the media content consumption service, and
• posts information associated with the message to the personalized destination within the media content consumption service for access by a user from within the media content consumption service;
• and
• a user interface facility communicatively coupled to the media service facility and that
• receives a request provided by the user from within the media content consumption service to access the information posted to the personalized destination;
• and
• provides, within the media content consumption service in response to the request, a personalized user interface that presents the posted information.
