Predictive Text Completion For A Mobile Communication Facility

A system for predictive search query completion on a mobile communication facility, the system comprising one or more computers having non-transitory computer readable mediums having stored thereon instructions which, when executed by one or more processors of the one or more computers, causes the system to perform the steps of:

• (a) receiving a plurality of keystrokes entered by a user of the mobile communication facility, wherein the plurality of keystrokes represent a partial portion of a first and second complete search query term found in an indexed content of search query terms remote from the mobile communication facility;
• (b) identifying the first and second complete search query terms;
• (c) determining that the first complete search query term has a greater relevancy to the user than the second complete search query term, wherein the determination is based at least in part on a comparison of relevancy scores derived from a statistical association among data comprising:
• (i) the plurality of keystrokes;
• (ii) demographic characteristics of the user of the mobile communication facility provided by the user at the time of subscribing with a mobile communications provider, wherein the demographic characteristics include (a) age or birthdate of the user;
• (b) gender of the user;
• and optionally (c) income bracket of the user;
• (iii) a user characteristic relating to the behavior of the user derived from a previous interaction of the user with the mobile communication facility;
• and
• (d) transmitting the first complete search query term to the mobile communication facility.
