Abstract
Systems and methods communicate back-up data files to one or more data storage silos by at a customer computer, installing and running a client software; providing a system management platform coupled to the client software over the Internet; and receiving inputs from a user web portal to control operations of the client software and the system management platform to back up the customer computer.
Claims22
A method to communicate back-up data files to one or more data storage silos, comprising:
- at a customer computer, installing and running a client software;
- providing a system management platform coupled to the client software over the Internet;
- and
- receiving inputs from a user web portal to control operations of the client software and the system management platform to back up the customer computer.
The method of claim 10, wherein each storage node comprises a Linux computer with disks.
The method of claim 12, wherein one head node is a standby head that, upon failure of the other head node, imports all iSCSI targets, takes over a file system and virtual IP addresses and resumes operation in a fail-safe manner.
A system, comprising:
- a client computer running a client back-up software;
- a system management platform coupled to the client software over the Internet;
- and
- a user web portal coupled to the client computer and the system management platform to control operations of the client software and the system management platform to back up the customer computer.
