Abstract
A system receives images of objects. The system identifies a category for each of the objects, and extracts features from the images. The features relate to a quality of the image. The features of the images are stored in a database according to the category of each object, such that each set of features is associated with its corresponding image. The system displays the images on a network-based publication system, and receives data relating to the displayed images. The data is analyzed, and the images are ranked as a function of the analysis. The system redisplays the images on the network-based publication system as a function of the ranking of the images.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- a computer processor operable to:
- receive images of objects;
- identify a category for each of the objects;
- extract features from the images, the features relating to a quality of the image;
- store the features from the images in a database according to the category of each object and such that each set of features is associated with its corresponding image;
- display the images on a network-based publication system;
- receive data relating to the images;
- analyze the data;
- rank the images as a function of the analysis;
- and
- redisplay the images on the network-based publication system as a function of the ranking of the images.
A process comprising:
- receiving images of Objects into a computer processor;
- identifying a category for each of the objects using the computer processor;
- extracting features from the images using the computer processor, the features relating to a quality of the image;
- storing the features from the images in a database according to the category of each object and such that each set of features is associated with its corresponding image;
- displaying the images on a network-based publication system;
- receiving data relating to the images into the computer processor;
- analyzing the data using the computer processor;
- ranking the images as a function of the analysis;
- and
- redisplaying the images on the network-based publication system as a function of the ranking of the images.
A computer readable storage device comprising instructions that when executed by a computer processor execute a process comprising:
- receiving images of objects;
- identifying a category for each of the objects;
- extracting features from the images, the features relating to a quality of the image;
- storing the features from the images in a database according to the category of each object and such that each set of features is associated with its corresponding image;
- displaying the images on a network-based publication system;
- receiving data relating to the images;
- analyzing the data;
- ranking the images as a function of the analysis;
- and
- redisplaying the images on the network-based publication system as a function of the ranking of the images.
