Data Labeling and Indexing in a Multi-Modality Medical Imaging System

An indexing method in a multi-modality medical processing system, the method comprising:

• receiving, by the multi-modality medical processing system, medical data corresponding to a modality;
• populating a set of labels based on the modality;
• presenting the set of labels to a user;
• receiving a user input based on the presented set of labels;
• assigning a label to the medical data based on the received user input;
• and
• storing the labeled medical data such that the labeled medical data is indexed based on the assigned label.

A method of labeling data in a data processing system, the method comprising:

• receiving, by the data processing system, medical data to be labeled;
• retrieving procedure information from a first database;
• retrieving a set of labels for the medical data from a second database, the set of labels based on the procedure information;
• presenting the set of labels to a user at a user display;
• receiving a user input based on the presented set of labels from a user interface;
• assigning a final label to the medical data based on the received user input.
