Abstract
A method for operating at least one vending machine. A food product to be prepared by the vending machine and dispensed to a consumer is remotely ordered by the consumer over at least one wireless and/or wired communications link, the order being transmitted to the vending machine over the same or another wireless and/or wired communications link.
Claims7
A method for operating at least one vending machine, the method comprising:
- providing a food product to prepared by the vending machine and dispensed to a consumer;
- remotely ordering the food product by the consumer over at least one wireless and/or wired communications link;
- transmitting the order to the vending machine over the same or an additional wireless and/or wired communications link;
- and
- determining a current position of the consumer;
- wherein a point in time at which the consumer reaches a vending machine selected by him being predicted with the aid of the determined current position of the consumer, the consumer being warned if the predicted point in time takes place after the dispensing time he has specified, and/or the preparation of the food product in the vending machine not being started until the consumer has reached or is closer than a predefined distance from the vending machine and/or the time for dispensing the food product from the vending machine being predicted with the aid of the determined current position of the consumer.
