Method and apparatus for a cutting process automatic generation tool of cam

A method for a cutting process automatic generation tool of CAM that is connected to a cutting machine that generates a finish shape from an initial workpiece to control cutting by the cutting machine, the method comprising the steps of:

• generating a finish shape included shape including the finish shape from the initial workpiece on the basis of sizes in the three-dimensional directions of the finish shape;
• generating a finish shape swept shape on the basis of the drawing that is obtained by performing a logical conjunction between the cross-sectional shapes of the finish shape included shape and the finish shape and that is obtained by projecting the finish shape in the direction vertical to the cross-section;
• generating a swept shape by chamfering the finish shape swept shape;
• obtaining the linear travelling distance and rotational angle of a tool of the cutting machine relative to the swept shape on the basis of subtraction by boolean operation between the finish shape and the swept shape;
• and
• controlling the cutting machine on the basis of the obtained linear travelling distance and rotational angle of the tool.

A method for a cutting process automatic generation tool of CAM that plans settings of cutting regions and combinations of cutting regions in an NC data creation operation, in the case where NC data is created and the cutting regions are created, the method comprising the steps of:

• creating a finish shape included shape form a finish shape and a swept shape determined by swept determined by a clamp of a cutting machine form the finish shape;
• creating a subtract shape A by performing subtraction by boolean operation for the finish shape included shape from an initial shape;
• dividing the subtract shape A into hexahedron cutting regions including, at least, one partial overlap;
• creating a subtract shape B by performing subtraction by boolean operation for the swept shape from the finish shape included shape;
• dividing the subtract shape B into pentahedron cutting regions including, at least, one partial overlap;
• creating a finish shape cutting region configured using, at least, one face from faces configuring the finish shape;
• and
• creating cutting regions of the hexahedron cutting regions, the pentahedron cutting regions, and the finish shape cutting regions.

A computer-readable storing medium that stores a program to execute a method for a cutting process automatic generation tool of CAM that plans settings of cutting regions and combinations of cutting regions in an NC data creation operation, in the case where NC data is created and the cutting regions are created, the method stored in the program comprising the steps of:

• creating a finish shape included shape form a finish shape and a swept shape determined by swept determined by a clamp of a cutting machine form the finish shape;
• creating a subtract shape A by performing subtraction by boolean operation for the finish shape included shape from an initial shape;
• dividing the subtract shape A into hexahedron cutting regions including, at least, one partial overlap;
• creating a subtract shape B by performing subtraction by boolean operation for the swept shape from the finish shape included shape;
• dividing the subtract shape B into pentahedron cutting regions including, at least, one partial overlap;
• creating a finish shape cutting region configured using, at least, one face from faces configuring the finish shape;
• and
• creating cutting regions of the hexahedron cutting regions, the pentahedron cutting regions, and the finish shape cutting regions.
