Abstract
Devices that guide the accurate loading and dispensing of predetermined doses of fluid from injection syringes are disclosed.
Claims37
A removable dose-loading guide for loading an injection syringe the removable dose-loading guide comprising:
- a grip portion;
- and
- a collar portion connected to the grip portion, the collar portion configured to be removably placed along an extended syringe plunger rod of an injection syringe at a location proximal of the proximal end of a syringe barrel of the injection syringe, and distal of a plunger connected to the distal end of the extended syringe plunger rod,
- wherein the collar portion is rigid along its height and includes an opening for removably receiving the extended syringe plunger rod, and
- wherein the collar portion has a predetermined dimension and is configured to stop movement of the extended syringe plunger rod into the syringe barrel, so that a predetermined distance remains between the proximal end of the syringe barrel and the distal side of the plunger.
A dose-delivery guide configured to be placed, removably or permanently, at least partially around an extended syringe plunger rod of an injection syringe, wherein the dose-delivery guide is rigid along its height and has a predetermined dimension, and
- wherein the dose-delivery guide is configured to stop movement of the extended syringe plunger rod into a syringe barrel of the injection syringe, so that a predetermined distance remains between the proximal end of the syringe barrel and the distal side of a plunger connected to the distal end of the extended syringe plunger rod, the predetermined distance corresponding to the predetermined dimension.
A dual dose-loading dose-delivery guide system, comprising:
- (a) a dose-delivery guide configured to be placed, removably or permanently, at least partially around an extended syringe plunger rod of an injection syringe, wherein the dose-delivery guide is rigid along its height and has a predetermined dimension, and is configured to stop movement of the extended syringe plunger rod into a syringe barrel of the injection syringe, so that a predetermined distance remains between the proximal end of the syringe barrel and the distal side of a plunger connected to the distal end of the extended syringe plunger rod, the predetermined distance corresponding to the predetermined dimension;
- and
- (b) a removable dose-loading guide comprising a grip portion and a collar portion connected to the grip portion, the collar portion configured to be removably placed along the dose-delivery guide, wherein the collar portion is rigid along its height and includes an opening for removably receiving the dose-delivery guide, and wherein the collar has a predetermined dimension and is configured to stop movement of the extended syringe plunger rod into the syringe barrel, so that, a predetermined distance remains between the proximal end of the syringe barrel and the distal side of the plunger.
