Abstract
A system and a process for representing collateral circulation in voxels of an organ. Arterial tissue delay is estimated from perfusion data by evaluating, according to a Bayesian method, a posterior marginal probability distribution for the arterial tissue delay. The estimated arterial tissue delay of each voxel is estimated relative to a threshold value. An indication of the voxels whose arterial tissue delay values exceed the threshold is displayed on a display device.
Claims21
A method for representing collateral circulation in elementary volumes, referred to as voxels, of an organ, the method being carried out by a processing unit of a perfusion-based measurement system, comprising:
- estimating, in the processing unit, arterial tissue delay from perfusion data obtained by the measurement system;
- evaluating the estimated arterial tissue delay of each voxel relative to a threshold value;
- displaying, on a display device, an indication of the voxels whose arterial tissue delay values exceed the threshold.
A system for representing collateral circulation in voxels of an organ, comprising:
- a processing unit configured to:
- estimate arterial tissue delay from perfusion data obtained from the organ by a measurement system,
- evaluate the estimated arterial tissue delay of each voxel relative to a threshold value, and
- identify the voxels whose arterial tissue delay values exceed the threshold;
- and
- a display device on which an indication of the voxels whose arterial tissue delay values exceed the threshold is displayed.
A system for representing collateral circulation in voxels of an organ, comprising:
- a measurement apparatus that scans the organ and generates perfusion-weighted data that provides information relating to a condition of the organ;
- a processing unit configured to:
- estimate arterial tissue delay from the perfusion-weighted data obtained from the organ by the measurement system,
- evaluate the estimated arterial tissue delay of each voxel relative to a threshold value, and
- identify the voxels whose arterial tissue delay values exceed the threshold;
- and
- a display device on which an indication of the voxels whose arterial tissue delay values exceed the threshold is displayed.
