The present invention relates to a process to prepare ethylene amines by the amination of ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol or ethanolamine in the presence of a catalyst, comprising a step wherein methylamine and/or ethylamine are removed from the reaction effluents.

Process to prepare ethylene amines by the amination of ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol or ethanolamine in the presence of a catalyst, comprising a step wherein methylamine and/or ethylamine are removed from the reaction effluents, wherein the aminating compound is ammonia.
