Abstract
A method and apparatus for generating a multi-view image, the method including determining an input image for generating multi-view images, and selecting a total of stereo images or one of stereo images to be the input image based on a presence of a distortion between the stereo images.

A method for processing an image, the method comprising:
- determining, by a processor, a presence of a distortion between plural images, including a first image and a second image;
- determining at least one of the plural images as an image to be used for generating a third image, based on the presence of the distortion;
- and
- generating the third image using the determined at least one image.

An apparatus for processing an image, the apparatus comprising:
- a distortion determining unit to determine a presence of a distortion between plural images, including a first image and a second image;
- an image determining unit to determine at least one of the plural images as an image to be used for generating a third image, based on the presence of the distortion;
- and
- an image generating unit to generate the third image using the determined at least one image.

- selecting, by a processor, a total of plural images or one of the plural images, based on a presence of a distortion between the plural images;

- generating the multi-view image based on a result of the selecting.
