Abstract
A digital image of the object is captured and the object is recognized from plurality of objects in a database. An information address corresponding to the object is then used to access information and initiate communication pertinent to the object.

An portable hand-held device comprising:
- a sensor configured to acquire a digital representation of on-screen content;
- and
- a computing platform coupled with the sensor and configured to:
- obtain the digital representation from the sensor;
- use features from the digital representation to enable recognition of the on-screen content as a known target;
- identify target information, including an address, relating to the known target;
- and
- enable a device to register a vote, via the address, relating to the on-screen content.

A computer readable, non-transitory storage medium storing software instructions that, when executed by a mobile device processor, causes the mobile device processor to perform the following steps:
- acquiring, by a sensor of the mobile device, a digital representation of on-screen content;
- using features from the digital representation to enable recognition of the on-screen content as a known target;
- identifying target information, including an address, relating to the known target;
- and
- enabling a device to register a vote, via the address, relating to the on-screen content.
