Assembly and a method of determining a change in capacitance

A method of determining a change in capacitance, the method comprising:

• providing a cable comprising at least two elongate, co-extending electrical conductors,
• providing a sensor,
• attaching a deforming element to the cable, the deforming element comprising an activator, a deforming part and an energy storage,
• the activator receiving a force,
• if the received force exceeds a threshold force, activating the deforming part to receive energy from the energy storage and convert at least part of the received energy into a temporary deformation of the cable,
• if the received force does not exceed the threshold force, not activating the deforming part,
• the sensor determining a change in capacitance between a first and a second of the conductors and outputting a corresponding electrical signal.
